• Dacia JOE Cup resumes the competition, after the one-month holiday
• Second position at stake and an already won trophy in the seventh stage
• As promised, Victor Ponta to copilot during the rally in Brasov

This weekend Brasov will host, for a second time, the Romanian Rally Championship, only this time the competitors will be racing on macadam. The Cup promises to be thrilling, with its nine teams lining up at the start.

Cristian Turbatu will miss Brasov, after fait favoured him in Sibiu, unexpectedly turning the pilot into the leader of the Cup’s first edition. The reason for this ist hat his copilot had to undergo surgery.

The two major competitors for the second position are Ernest Mulner, the pilot from Brasov , and the unlucky pilot from Sibiu, Bogdan Stanoiev. Ernest has the theoretical advantage of competing home, but, in his turn, Bogdan proved extremely fast.

Two other pilots, who missed the last events, Jérôme France and Lucian Sauciuc, will also have a word in the race. Sauciuc has already warmed for this in the Rally Sprint, in Harghita, at the end of last week.
Helplessly addicted to the rally ’’virus’’, Victor Ponta will take part in the race from Brasov, as a copilot eager to accumulate experience for next season, when he would like to compete in the Championship, onboard Dacia Logan.

The start in the Rally Tara Barsei Dunlop Seat is scheduled for Friday, 24 August, at 3 pm, with the arrival on Saurday, at 6 pm.
