The Board of Directors of Automobile Dacia decided, at the end of the year 2011, the extension of the General Director mandate of Jérôme Olive, appointed in this position in 2009. The first year of his mandate in Romania, 2010, marked the release of the first Dacia-brand SUV, the Duster SUV. Born on the 8th of December 1957, Jérôme Olive took his diploma as an engineer at the Catholic Institute of Arts and Crafts (ICAM) in the year 1980. His career at Renault began in 1982, at the Sandouville factory, where Jérôme Olive occupied different positions in the field of the reliability of manufacture and maintenance processes. In 1985, he took over the position of in-charge with investments and maintenance at SBFM (Société Bretonne de Fonderie et Mécanique), then that of Production Director. In 1996, as the head of the Body Department, he was in-charge with the release in manufacture of the model Scénic 1 at the Renault factory in Douai. In 1999, he became a Deputy Director in-charge of manufacture, taking over the leadership of the factory at the beginning of the year 2004. During the same meeting, the members of the Board of Directors of Automobile Dacia appointed as an administrator and President of the BoD Jean – Cristophe Kugler, Renault Operations Director for the Euromed Region.
