By launching an affordable off-road vehicle with low CO2 emissions, Dacia again challenges the norm.
2009 was the fifth consecutive year of double-digit growth in Dacia sales: it has expanded its sales from fewer than 100,000 vehicles in 2004 to more than 300,000 units in 2009. 309,457 Dacia vehicles were produced around the world in 2009, an increase of 20 per cent compared with 2008. (257,808 units were delivered in 2008). Since Logan's launch in 2004, Dacia has notched up total global sales of 1,140,031 units.
In Europe (region as defined by Renault): Dacia has recorded a 91 per cent increase, to 214,500 units (1.3 per cent market penetration). - Principal markets in 2009: Germany emerged as the brand's biggest export market, with 84,875 units sold. Second position was taken by France, with 66,531 sales, followed by Italy, with sales of 21,754 vehicles. - In 2009, Dacia took 2.13 per cent of the German market, 2.5 per cent of the French market and 0.93 per cent of the Italian market. In France, Dacia is now one of the country's ten best-selling automotive brands.
Acclaimed fundamentals The reliability of Dacia vehicles is assured by the vehicle and powertrain engineering expertise of the Renault group – and is backed by a three-year or 100,000km warranty. Recent independent surveys back this up: in a study of 26,000 motorists published in the French consumer affairs magazine UFC Que Choisir, Dacia was named third most reliable brand in Europe, while Auto Plus proclaimed it the most reliable make in France Ti-a placut acest articol?
