Dacia is the official car at the Gopo Awards

Dacia is the official car of the Gopo Awards, 3rd edition. In this capacity, the carmaker offered a fleet of nine cars to help transport the participants at the award festivity.

The collaboration between Dacia and the Romanian Film Promotion Association started last year, when Dacia sponsored the Gopo Award Festivity, by giving the prize for “Best director”. For the 2009 edition, Dacia will provide for the transport of the nominees, with a fleet made up of nine vehicles - Logan MCV, Logan Sedan and Dacia Sandero.

 “Organizing a film award festivity is not an easy task in normal times, and the more so during a crisis. The Association wanted and will hopefully manage to elude financial issues at this celebration of true quality films. We are glad to see that our traditional partners, such as Dacia, support us in 2009 as well. We are grateful for the help they gave us in keeping our standards during such harsh times”, declare director Tudor Giurgiu.

The Gopo Awards are organized in the manner of the major events in countries with a strong film tradition: the United Stated (The Oscars, the Golden Globes), France (the César Awards), Great Britain (the BAFTA Awards), Spain (the Goya Awards), and Denmark (the Guldbagge Awards). The trophies award the prizes during the Gopo Awards Festivity, following the votes of 350 professionals from all sectors of the Romanian film industry. The best nominees are chosen for each category by a jury formed of well-known figures in the field. The nominees for “Best European Film” are elected by a jury made up of five major Romanian film critics.
