The Dacia Sandero offered as the big prize of the 2008 Gaudeamus Lottery was won by a young lady on Sunday, the third fair sex representative to win a Dacia at the lottery of the book fair.

Anca Marin, aged 25, is a graduate of the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, she holds a master’s degree in Marketing and spent a year in Italy with an Erasmus scholarship. Currently, she is a team leader with a business process outsourcing company. "I have never won anything; I don’t even know anyone to have won something all their lives. So I found it hard to believe it was not a joke when I got a call from a lady telling me I had won a Dacia Sandero." said Anca. "I don’t have a driver’s license and I had planned to take driving classes this spring. Now, that I have a car, I will definitely try to pass the driving test much earlier, there is no use in postponing it for a few more months. I had anyway started to study the law and the traffic signs, all I have left to do is take the driving classes, stand the exam and, of course, get my driver’s license. To be honest, the thought of owning a car some day had always justified my intentions to get the driver’s license. I did not really expect it to happen, it was only a joke. The important thing is that is has really happened. The less you expect it, the greater the joy." Added Anca

2008 is the third consecutive year for Dacia as a partner of the Gaudeamus International Book Fair. The company offered a 1.4 l Sandero Ambiance as the big prize of the Fair Lottery. The other students won the two Dacia Logan offered as the big prizes of the 2006 and 2007 Gaudeamus Lotteries.

During the 2008 edition of the Book Fair, the actions Dacia organized at its own stand focused on the "play" concept; Dacia’s slogan used to attract visitors was "Dacia Sandero, play partner of Gaudeamus 2008". Lucian Mandruta, Malvina Cervenschi, Amalia Enache, Dragos Bucurenci, caricaturist Mihai Stanescu, the CEO of Dacia Groupe Renault François Fourmont, a group of employees from the plant in Mioveni, clients of the company or simple visitors, all stopped by Dacia’s stand. Paul Daiyan, the Fair’s master of ceremony attended the draw on Sunday. All those present received gifts consisting of books – whose titles contained the word "play" - , bookmarks and posters representing caricatures signed Mihai Stanescu.
