Dacia is a world success

I first came to Romania four years ago, as the Marketing Director for Germany, accompanied by a group of German dealers I wanted to convince into buying Dacia’s new model, the Logan.


Things have changed a lot in the meantime: Dacia’s product range now includes models adapted to our lifestyle. The Logan proved a great success both in Romania and abroad. Ever since last year, Dacia counts among the first ten most sold car brands on the French market.


Dacia’s other preferred European market is …Germany. Under the Remat programme, sales in Germany have rocketed. In April alone, more that 11,000 cars were sold on this market. To meet demand, the plant increased its output and introduced work shifts on Saturdays.


As a matter of fact, 40,000 cars were sold during the first quarter of 2009 on Dacia’s main markets: Germany, France, and, obviously, Romania.


The economic market triggered a change in customers’ preferences on all markets. Under the circumstances, Dacia’s success makes me believe we will have fewer difficulties in overcoming this period than other carmakers.
