Only one week after its official presentation at the World Trade Plaza in Bucharest, the new commercial vehicle from Dacia, namely the Logan VAN, started its "maiden voyage" on the Romanian roads.
Throughout January 29 – 31, 2007, some 34 journalists were given the opportunity of testing the Logan VAN model on the route Bucharest – Pitesti – Bucharest. The operation itself consisted of two stages. The first stage was dedicated to the specialized media from Romania (comprising a total of 24 journalists), while the second stage was destined to the representatives of the ten leading auto publications in Bulgaria. Some 12 vehicles equipped with 1.5DCI and 1.6MPI engines were made available to journalists.
In order to allow for the best possible evaluation of their roadside behavior in various usage conditions, half of the vehicles were loaded with a 250 kilogram charge.
Each test session was accompanied by a press conference, with the participation of François Fourmont, Dacia General Manager and George Vilcereanu, Dacia Logan VAN Product Manager.
During the press conferences, both the Romanian and the Bulgarian journalists voiced their satisfaction with the new Logan VAN model, which is considered to be an ideal transport solution for a wide range of users.
